The Plaza Resort & Spa Names Kerry Mitruska Director of Sales and Marketing
Daytona Beach, FL – November 20, 2012 — The Plaza Resort & Spa in Daytona Beach Florida, the award winning Three Diamond hotel, appointed Kerry Mitruska Director of Sales and Marketing. In his new position, Mitruska will play a critical role overseeing revenue for Group and Transient Markets.
Mitruska, a hospitality sales and marketing executive has over two decades of experience at companies like The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. and the Four Seasons. He began his hospitality career as the Sales and Conference Services Manger for the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Florida. Over the years, has held a series of increasingly strategic roles in sales and marketing at a variety of world-renowned hotels and resorts. Most recently, he headed up sales for Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group for the Radisson Blu Resort, Marina & Spa St. Martin, French West Indies based in Naples, FL.
The Plaza Resort & Spa’s 323 room beachfront condo resort, built in 1911, will fit right in to Mitruska’s line of expertise. With its 32,000 square feet of meeting space, full service spa, three bars and two restaurants, Mitruska will aim to drive top line revenue for the brand and provide direct leadership to the sales, catering and conference services staff plus external marketing and public relations.
Mitruska holds a Bachelors Degree in Hospitality Management from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island.
