The Plaza Historic Beach Resort & Spa Awarded TripAdvisor® 2014 Certificate of Excellence
Daytona Beach, FL – June 5, 2014 The Plaza Historic Beach Resort & Spa on Daytona Beach has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel site. The award celebrates hospitality excellence and is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveler reviews on TripAdvisor.
Winners of the Certificate of Excellence represent the upper echelon of businesses listed on the website, with only the top 10 percent receiving the prestigious award. The Certificate of Excellence award is given to outstanding hospitality businesses that have received praise and recognition in reviews by TripAdvisor travelers.
The recent achievement can be partially accredited to its new management, Boykin Management Company. Boykin took over management of the property in 2012 and has been diligently working to get the timeless property up to par to meet its guests’ standards. Don Bosworth, Director of Sales & Marketing for The Plaza Historic Beach Resort & Spa stated, “The entire team at The Plaza Historic Beach Resort & Spa was thrilled to receive the TripAdvisor 2014 Certificate of Excellence. Everyone here has worked very hard to become one of the top resorts on Daytona Beach. Now our team’s goal is to achieve the number 1 spot in the TripAdvisor rankings and we are going to make it happen!”
The Plaza Historic Beach Resort & Spa was originally built in 1888 as The Clarendon. It is the premier choice among Daytona Beach hotels for guests seeking beachfront relaxation, fun and adventure. With 32,000 square feet of meeting space, a full service spa, three bars and two restaurants, there’s little to wonder as to why this traffic-free beachfront resort has been awarded this honor.
